| Day 1 | Arrival in Chitenay | |
You travel independently to Chitenay. The hotel is situated in the centre of the village where there is a bakery and bar. If you have rented a bike, it will be ready for your arrival on day 1 or by 9 am on Day 2. During your stay, 3 dinners are included and you can choose to take your first dinner tonight.

From your base in Chitenay there are 5 different self-guided cycling excursions that you can choose from for each day, to explore the neighbouring chateaux, vineyards and forests. You could choose for example for your first day: a route to Chateau de Cheverny, which allows you to travel cross-country through fields and vineyards and some quaint villages. There is ample time to explore the sumptuously furnished Chateau which inspired Hergé's vision of Marlinspike Hall in the adventures of Tintin. Challenge : 23.7 km, 93 m ascent, 93 m descent

Do you want to discover one of the most famous Chateaux of the Loire Valley? Cycle through the rich "Domaine de Chambord" forest, where a stop is essential to visit the most famous and majestic château in the Loire Valley: Château Chambord. Today your destination is Chaumont sur Loire! Passing through the beautiful countryside you cycle to the banks of the Loire at Chaumont sur Loire, where you can visit the picturesque chateau overlooking the river. An annual 'Garden Festival' takes place in its majestic park from Jun-Sep, featuring different interpretations of artistic garden composition based on a common theme.
